Webinar on the LungMAP Biorespository (BRINDL) PART 1
Webinar on the LungMAP BREATH and Lung Geen Expression Analysis (LGEA)
resource PART 2 & Webinar on the LungMAP FANTASTIC VOYAGE PART 3
The ATS Section on Genetics and Genomics, Assembly on Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, and PhD and Basic and Translational Scientists Working Group are pleased to announce a series focused on the LungMAP resource.
Part 1 occured on January 10, 2019 at 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time.
We were joined by Drs. Gloria Pryhuber and Ravi Misra (University of Rochester Medical Center) who conducted a live webinar presentation on the BioRepository for INvestigation of Diseases of the Lung (BRINDL), the LungMAP Biorespository. They presented information regarding the source of tissue specimens used for the human pediatric biospecimen repository, types of samples currently available, and how to get access to samples. This was followed by a live walk-through of the repository details. Dr. Tom Mariani (University of Rochester Medical Center) joined as a panelist for this discussion.
This session will be moderated by Drs. Katie Steiling (Boston University Medical Center) and Maor Sauler (Yale University).
PART 2 occured on January 29, 2019 at 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time.
We were joined by Drs. Robert Clark (RTI International) and Yan Xu (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center) who conducted a live webinar presentation on LungMAP BREATH and Lung Gene Expression Analysis (LGEA) resource. They presented information regarding the types of data available in the LungMAP BREATH repository, and conducted live walk-throughs to demonstrate use of the BREATH web resource and LGEA to extract biologically useful information. Drs. Scott Palmer (Duke University), and Stephen Edwards (RTI International), Jeff Whitsett (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center), Yina Du (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center), and Tom Mariani (University of Rochester Medical Center) also joined as panelists for this discussion.
This session was moderated by Drs. Katie Steiling (Boston University Medical Center) and Maor Sauler (Yale University).
Part 3 occurred on April 22, 2019 at 1:00PM Eastern Standard Time.
We will be joined by Clarence Wigfall MPH (Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles) and Dr. David Warburton (Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles) who will conduct a live webinar presentation of LungMAP-Fantastic Voyage. In this webinar participants will be taken on a virtual trek through 3D reconstructions of the pediatric lung using a new visualization tool called 3D MicroCT/Microscopy Volume Renderer (3D MMVR).
This session will be moderated by Drs. Katie Steiling (Boston University Medical Center) and Maor Sauler (Yale University).
