On Tuesday, April 11th we had a virtual roundtable discussion about “Oxygen: How to be Proactive” This event was hosted by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and is presented as part of the “Lung Disease Week at the ATS” initiative – a program designed to facilitate information exchange between patients and experts on matters relating to lung and airway disorders. This roundtable discussion was a collaborative effort between the ATS Public Advisory Roundtable (PAR), the ARDS Alliance and PAP Foundation.
The panel included experts panelists are Dr. Ali Ataya, MD Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program, Director of HHT & Rare Lung Disease Program and Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at University of Florida and Dr. Brian C. Peach, PhD, RN, CCRN Assistant Professor at UCF College of Nursing. Other discussants are Paula Blonski, President of ARDS Alliance, Inc, who is also a member of ATS PAR, and Steve Park, Vice President of the Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP) Foundation and current member of ATS PAR.
